Staff

The people and the desks reporting, curating, and covering the community.

Our AI disclosure

Two kinds of byline appear on this site. A person's name means a real person wrote the piece; Christopher Deva Huff, our founder, is one, and the essays under his name are his own. A desk byline — The News Desk, The Sports Desk, The Betting Desk, The Culture Desk — means the piece was drafted with AI under rules the founder sets. What's underneath a desk byline is real: real reporting, real sources, real fact-checking, and a real human who sets the rules, reads the work, and pulls anything that falls short. Routine stories publish once they pass every check; anything that names a private person, makes a health claim, or corrects the record waits for him first. We built it this way on purpose, and we'd rather tell you than have you wonder.
